MEMOS 2 – A Simple Robotic System for Neurorehabilitation

This video (in Italian language) shows MEMOS 2 , a low-cost Cartesian 2DoFs Robot used for Neurorehabilitation. The idea is that the patient has to reach the given targets on the screen by moving the robot handle. If the patient is unable to do the exercise, then the Robot force the move of the patient to the target.

The Robot hardware hosts a Microchip dsPIC microcontroller derived from Evidence FLEX Boards, two DC motors, encoders, and a load cell using stain gauges.
