  1. so if that thing …
so if that thing had bluetooth..and try to send it something…it’ll probably have a slight glitch..and effect the timing…lol

  2. I disagree, in the …
I disagree, in the video i saw it was shown an object it had never seen before (a small 50s model robot) and identified it as Unknown entity it then through voice command not internal programming was told to identify the object as Grandpa.

  3. Hah, there’s hardly …
Hah, there’s hardly any cognitive judgement in that task. They programmed the shapes of chairs and stools into it and, when its optic sensors pick up such a shape, it is identified. If such information wasn’t already in the robot’s data banks, it would be unable to learn to distinguish one object from another, or even that objects existed at all.

  4. that being correct, …
that being correct, they have developed an advanced A.I asimo with interperative skills. Example it can tell that despite a stool looks different from a chair that it is still a chair: therefor making a judgement

  5. yeah, its basically …
yeah, its basically just a metronome, although… thats all conducters are anyway *rimshot*

  6. This being an …
This being an automata robot, it isn’t actually “directing” anything. A team of humans programmed the entire routine and then, once at the orchestra, someone flipped the “on” switch and the robot did what it had been instructed to do.

  7. I would like to see …
I would like to see the robot direct a fast song 😉 bet he cant follow it anymore

  8. They chose the …
They chose the arrangement well. This silly little arrangement is the only one a robot could conduct. And still, it comes across as too rigid, forced, stagnant, and exactly what it is, not human.

  9. Not even slightly …
Not even slightly ironic. IRONY: Incongruity between what might be expected and what actually occurs.
Don’t you think that someone might have chosen the music? If the score floated down from the heavens and then it happened to be the Impossible Dream, there would be irony.

  10. Can’t wait til they …
Can’t wait til they make a big one of those that you can ride around on like a car!
