this is the best mechatronics I have seen for some time. robust. inherently stable. simple.
my hat is off to the inventor. # 🙂
I would like to speak to him because I have been designing variable profile wheels for some time.
U could install those wheels on segways –

what makes u think it cant turn? there are four motors one per wheel. it shd be able to turn just as any other non holonomic 4 wheeled robot.

  6. So all this robot …

The biggest flaw in this “Search and Rescue” machine, is that it can’t turn! Secondly, what is it going to do when it gets to the victim?
I don’t see a future in this particular robot, but the wheels may be the key to rocky terrain.

  8. Very awesome vid …
Very awesome vid and robot. Are those wheels using motor controllers? Is there somewhere I can see the documentation on this robot?
