Can i change my virgin mobile cell phone number???

I need to change my phone number on my virgin mobile phone number, can i do this? Dont say call the company because that leaves me talking to a robot. If i cant do this is cingular any good?

yes you can change your number however that will involve calling and asking them to do this unless you buy a new simcard which would give u a new number.

You know – when you call someone’s cell phone and spend a full minute waiting for the robot lady to finish telling you to ‘leave a message after the tone, or press 1 for more options. . .’

This is seriously a pain in the rear. Think of this, if they let you disable this, you wouldn’t be using minutes. Get it! It’s all about using your minutes.

Something to try would be Pinger. There are no prompts, no voicemail introduction. Just a message being left for you to pick up. Personally, I don’t leave voicemail anymore. I leave Pingers.

Like if they put a lot of money into developing a piloted robot fighting machines…kinda of a random question but do you think the military have given it much thought ?

Interestingly enough, last year when Iron Man came out, the cover story on Popular Mechanics was on the Army’s new exoskeleton. At the same time, Fusionman made history by being the first to fly across the English Channel on his wearable jet-wing. So truth is catching up to fiction all the time. (I don’t think we will see anything as big as Gundams or Evangelions soon, because they make such good targets.)

The biggest limit to the Army’s exoskeleton is that it can’t carry its own power source. It can plug into a Humvee that has a generator on board.

I think that Fusionman might still have a video of him flying on youtube, check it out. He’s also in wiki. Air forces all over the world have offered him contracts, but he want to make it a civilian product. But they are salivating and probably several nations already have some models in development. I wouldn’t be surprised.

Does anyone know any good mech, robot, mobile suit mmo’s? (except exteel and age of armor)?

a hexapodal robot with six legs, they are very stable, and act like spiders, and the algoritms for their motion are quite easy. but not quite as easy as just wheels.

The control is by using buttons of mobile phone ie is if we press 4 of the mobile phone, the robot should move left side.if we press 2 it should move forward so this is how we control the robot using mobile phone. i want more application for this project

I think it may be possible using multimedia information processing by integrating an RFID(Radio frequency IDentification) component which must be an one rather than a passive RFID tag .
Digital signal reception in the mobile can be possible by advances in DSP.

How can I find a russian girl if I only know her first name and mobile phone number?

I have met this great russian girl on a train from Budapest to Vienna! It’s amazing I know… Unfortunatly in the end I would only know her name (Julia) and her phone number (+79161xxxxxx). The terrible thing is that when I tried to call her in Vienna to meet, I couldn’t reach her.. When I came back to Romania I tried to call her for several times (still trying) but I’d always get the same robot message: "Sorry, the mobile number is temporarly blocked". Does anyone have any idea what this means. Or if/how I can find out her full name (and maybe city) by knowing only this. I also know she’s a student at a university, her major being history.

Unfortunately, Russian mobile phones all start with +79xxxxxxxxx. +79 is "non-geographic" which means she could be from anywhere in Russia.

"The number is temporarily blocked" means she has no credits (or her credits expired), so she cannot recieve calls. The number will deactivate if the credits are not recharged in a certain period of time. If she had a contract plan, it means she did not pay her bill (but I doubt she had a contract – they are not common for "commoners").

Her number likely would not work in Vienna, unless she was on a contract mobile plan in Russia (which is unlikely).

You will not find her, and it appears she did not really want you to find her.

If you mean robotics, then the effects will be the same as the rest of computer technology.
