    The video is of the first prototype, and there were some issues with the return force in a couple of the fingers, but this was fixed shortly thereafter.

    The ring and pinky fingers of the hand does not seem to be as responsive the thumb, index and middle fingers. Good attempt though.

    It’s a novel method of actuating fingers, using corrugated tubing and compressed air to provide the motion and grasping force. It was designed as a spinoff of the main CHARLI humanoid robot project and was entered in (and won) the Compressed Air and Gas Institute(CAGI)’s Innovation competition. The goal of the project was to provide human like manipulative capabilities at a low cost using compressed air as a power source.
