This is the spinup test for UBRuined, our 60lb (lightweight) shell spinner bot.
Note that the weapons are not attached and the protrusions on the shell are just mounting nubs. Even decelerating, the shell managed to hit and warp a steel chair leg about 20 degrees away from straight.
Forgive the terrible camera angle, I was holding it in one hand and the remote in the other.

Did you put longer weapons? Those squares wont do anything. put some titanium. It makes lots of sparks.

Don’t have any handy at the moment. Sorry… It wasn’t very successful in its fights, the shell imploded upon first impact.

UBRuined. The 2007 version will be almost a complete rebuild; we’re moving to a bar spinner and welded aluminum box frame instead of the shell design. Why? Well, a spinner really needs to be made of titanium, and that’s out of my budget.
