This is a video of a very simple robot I made, a Braitenberg vehicle to be precise and the robot has NO microcontroller.
It has 2 distance sensors on the left and right of the cassis. As long as no object is sensed, the motor drivers are kept active. If for instance an object is detected on the right side of the robot, the left side motor driver is stopped and vice versa. This is achieved with simple combinatory logic implemented on a experimental board.
