ArcaneAsmadi – You’re right, there are a lot of American robots that aren’t very competitive. But the last 4 or so competitors in each weight class are legitimate builds. Look at Ziggo, Biohazard, and other past champions. Those bots are sturdy!I wholeheartedly agree that there are many weak US bots, but I wouldn’t count them ALL out. I would KILL to see Ziggo enter a UK circuit.

Plus, the TV show producers (battlebots and robot wars alike), don’t HAVE teams. It’s just individual families entering different competitions out of free will. The TV shows don’t own the teams. (not counting the robot wars house bots) -

While it’s a good point and you had a go, blame the builders, not the show. It’s not the show’s fault that robotic teams and builders decide to come on the show with shoddily constructed machines. I understand how some robots are easily broken, but they could have just as easily joined robot wars. Infact, I saw killohurtz in the robot wars northern annihilator. (He got destroyed). -

Hate to point it out, but Battlebots are absolutely no match for the UK roboteers of Robot Wars. I mean, those robots are made to break- half of them don’t even have any armour! I wasn’t even slightly surprised that Bigger Brother beat Mauler and Killerhurtz drove it to self-destruction even after it’d been, well, mauled. -
