I have to make a battlebot for school, and I would like to use an airsoft gun. So how can I trigger it. The less expensive the better!
An airsoft gun isn’t going to do crap against another robot, plus it might not be school appropriate. However if it is a battery powered gun then all you’d have to do is have a remote device send some electricity and bypass the trigger on the robot.

If using an existing gun, you would have to rig a solenoid with a lever to pull the trigger. More complicated would be making your own barrel and using a valve to release pressure because you would also have to provide the pressure, etc. The gun will have the pressure and valve inside.
