Match #1: Santa’s Cyclone vs. Hot Fuzz
A UMass Lowell Mechanical Engineering Department Senior Capstone Team went 2-2 in Motorama 2011 “Battle Bot” competition in Harrisburg, PA, during the weekend of February 18-20, 2011.

The team is made up of Jonathan Salerno, Stephen Bachand-
Amirault, Joseph Galeski, Nicholas Cleveland and M.E. machinist Paul
Gamache. They’re advised by Professor Sammy Shina.

The robot was completely designed by the team and manufactured in the UMass Lowell machine shop. Funding was provided by the ME department and the Dean of Engineering.
