How much would it cost to buy enough steel alloy to armor a Combat Bot?

The size is about 1 1/2 feet long, About 8 inches tall, and about 1 foot wide.
And also, how much metal will i need?

if you are talking about something for battlebots or robot fighting league it sounds like you’re working on a 30lb class robot. 3/16" hot rolled chromalloy steel you can get for between $25 and $40 for a 2×2 sheet. based on your dimensions you would need 2. or you can look for larger sheets, but they’re a little less manageable if you’re working it in the garage.

  2. If you figure out what sizes and amounts you want, here’s a couple of places to order from that have shipped fast in my experience. You can get cheaper locally if you know where to go and there’s a place locally most often, but if you prefer internet ordering these work well.
