@dkeizer05 current kills, but it’s the voltage and the load resistance that determines how much current there is. My body is around 500kOhms or so, so touching 12V would create about 24uA … that’s MICRO amps. There’s no way you’d get 15amps through your body from a 12v source unless you turned into copper or something.
I’d really like to see references to your claim that “people have been killed by 9-12v” — maybe from sparks and explosions, but not from electrocution.

You have to consider the resistance of the human body. Current equals voltage divided by resistance. You wont feel anything, even with 24V. Maybe you can feel a tiny tingle if you wet yourself with water first. Even if the voltage source can handle 1 gazillion of Amperes. Viva la resistance. 😀

@JMEMantzel lead acid batteries used in cars are not ment to be discharged more than around 25%. If you discharge them completely, you drastically reduce their lifetime, and soon will stop recharging. Deep cycle lead acid can handle deeper discharge, around 80% or less is recommended. however they do cost more.

It will over heat or trip out in seconds right? Charge the batteries to 100% unhook the gen and weld…..Do I have to come by and do this.
