This installation gathers images from t2…the dance, which was premiered on July 11-12 at the Vancouver Scotiabank Dance Centre. As in the stage performance, the installation links notions of control and agency to those of identity and otherness.
t2 is also part of The Touched Project, which is funded by the Canada Council and the National Science and Engineering Research Council. Another work, Imprint, will preview at UBC’s Museum of Anthropology on January 23rd 2010 and will be expanded to form part of SFU at Woodward’s Inaugural Program at the Fei and Milton Wong Experimental Theatre in June 2010. Lead researchers on the Canada Council/NSERC project are Ivan Bajic, Jie Liang and Henry Daniel. Richard Vaughan leads the robotics team on a separate research project.
