why doesn’t this work for me i’ve been trying? for days now. i plug in the arduino upload the program to blank it out. then i go to switch over to the picaxe programmer and it says “com port already in use” WTF? its driving me insane.

@Flea5000000000 yes because the signals are inverted, well at least if you use the FT232RL converter from FTDI. ? There is a workaround though, if you download a free utility called FT_PROG from FTDI, you can actually reprogram the converter to invert the signals

I can’t get this to work I’m getting a ” Memory verification failed – byte 255″. I believe I have everything connected correctly, the only difference is I’m using an UNO. I’m using the Arduinos pwr supply and have tried? using 4.5 volts, but no go. Thanks in advance.

@herctrap when I ran that test tool, the logic was opposite from what? it was supposed to be. I looked into it a little, and it turns out they use a form of RS232, which is why you need to use resistors with their cable
