    What we were told …
What we were told in my regional was you are allowed to block but not pin against a field element. Also if a robot is near the gate before the lift of the gate, you are allowed to lift the gate even if the robot itself is entangled and what ever happens to that robot will be the drivers fault no penalty.?

“I am pretty sure that wallbot is illegal no offence to 1437. it doesn’t leave enough space to manuver around, and it was camping the gate, also illegal.”
Are there any actually quotes for the rules that you can show that make those illegal, because many teams block off the entire zone, leaving no space. And is camping illegal,? many teams have done this.

I am pretty sure that wallbot is illegal no offence to 1437. it doesn’t leave enough space to manuver around, and it was camping the gate, also illegal. Trapping a team in their isolation zone is also illegal. If anyone can clarify, please do, but from my knowledge of the rules, that bot broke? alot of them.

Thanks for the reply. Does the 39 come from an extra low goal in the isolation zone which adds 3 more points to your 36 points? That’s a pretty fast robot. Is this the design you plan? on bringing to worlds, or will it undergo any significant changes? Good luck to your team ๐Ÿ™‚

    our drive train is …
our drive train is 2:1 (speed) and we have 2 high traction? wheels in the front, 2 omnis in the back. im not sure about the max score, somewhere near 39? and our top speed is 4ft/s.

Oh hey ๐Ÿ™‚ thanks for the info. What are you gearing your drive train for anyways? From what I can see you are running 4 omnis, and on such a fast drive train, it looks like the robot sways side to side (drifting) as it turns at high? speeds, but that may just be me. What are you aiming for in terms of max score now? I still can’t get over the ingenuity of the whole robot. Do you have your speed in f/s?

599D here, 36 was actually what we were shooting for in programming, but we only tried the challenge once and got 35 points. Also we tried once for drivers skills getting 35 points again, and dropping several pieces xD. We will indeed add more to? it to get a higher score. I do not understand what you mean by “drifting” if you mean that one side is stationary when we turn, we dont experience that problem.

Also, is 35 your max score? Do you intend to add more to it, or were you running out of time with the 35 pointer? Also it doesn’t seem like you broke the robot skills world record, though you are 7th place in the? world. Thanks for taking the time to look at my questions ๐Ÿ™‚

I see haha. Mostly I? was asking about consistency in programming skills? Do you find the drift annoying, or do you correct it with sensors/code/increased human interaction?

    599D BROKE THE …
599D BROKE THE WORLD RECORD for SKILLSand PROGRAMMING with 35 POINTS! The pneumatics? lift does make it fast overall.
The robot also does seem stable with traction that is consistent. I also think that the driver is very skilled in his technique, making it a killer team.

    I’m thoroughly …
I’m thoroughly impressed by 599D’s ingenious use of pneumatics to give them the motor capacity for an 8? motor drive. The double stage pneumatics on the arm are absolutely genius. How do you think this robot will do in the skills challenges? Do you have a problem with drifting that affects your consistency?
