How to make the simplest robot with only household items?

Please don’t refer to kits and if only it is possible then give me instructions to make robots with household items.

Read the book (from the ’80s): "How to make Computer Controlled Robots" by Tony Potter.

Written for ages 12 and up.

isbn: 086020815X or 088110213x

You’ll need balsa wood, glue, sandpaper, motors from construction toys like lego, and maybe $20 worth of parts from Radio Shack, Digikey or Maplins.

  1. silly, to make a real robot takes lots of skills, like electronics and mechanical engineering, and a machine shop and an electronics shop and a few years of design, prototyping, and construction. And a lot of dollars.

Certainly nothing you can do at home with no equipment or parts or experience.
