Arduino Robot – Teaser

The Arduino Robot is the first official Arduino on wheels. The robot has two processors, one on each of its two boards. The Motor Board controls the motors, and the Control Board reads sensors and decides how to operate. Each of the boards is a full Arduino board programmable using the Arduino IDE.

If you want to have …
If you want to have details on this robot, you can go on the Arduino Website. You will see that the Arduino robot is twice the size of the 3pi, it has 2 micro-controller boards,… So, twice the price…

If you want a robot with? wheel encoders, expandable, various software for making experiments, you have Mobilos, which is based on the self-balancing robot Geeros.

But what you can do with these kind of robots mainly depends on you, on your creativity and on the programs you will make.

    yours is a totally …
yours is a totally different question, and quite legit, i’m not defending this product, but if you talk about two products the first one with a digital compass, an ATmega328P VS 2xATmega32u4, a nicer lcd display, on board battery charger + PSU, I2C expandable, and not to forget all the bits and bolts around the boards (they have an important impact to the price) may not be the features you’re looking for, but giving a look from far doesn’t give you enough info to judge how cheap is this? or that.

    It is over twice …
It is over twice the price of a Pololu 3pi that does everything this bot? does. Also, Liz’s question is legit, what can it do to justify this price? Does it have obstacle detection? No. Does it have wheel encoders? I don’t think so. It is overpriced compared to the 3pi.

Really? do you know what board it has? what chipset? how? many pins? what shields come with that? if not then good luck spending that amount of money to find out 🙂

    you’re totally …
you’re totally wrong, as a robot it can’t do anything, it’s up to you, so the question is what you can actually do with your brain except? for your arguable question?

From that video, i learnt that this is a really over priced expensive line following robot. ? Can we have a video showing what it can ACTUALLY do, surely it does more than following a line?
