    It’s nothing new for people to become intament with non-living objects before (baby blankies, stuffed animals, statues, old baseball mitts, et cetera). Robots are just a new thing to add to the list.

    I would tend to think that at current people will not get emotionally attached to robots as they are just dead and programmed things that wont do a thing unless scripted.
    I wonder what the mental state is of people that do.

    it’s a nice robot, but, yeah… it’s weird to see how some people treat it like a person or a living thing capable of reciprocating emotions. “Basically, human beings are weak. That’s why I speak to Paro.” kinda sad, but at least she’s happy with the robot.
